I found them welcome.Īfter all, it’s good to be able to roam around a convention and run into and catch up with old friends who I’ve worked with on the teaching circuit for years. I certainly had those sorts of moments at the Biennial but I enjoyed them and didn’t find them odd. I don’t know how “odd” got put into the official designation of whats odds and ends … unless it was meant as something serendipitous. This entry was posted in Uncategorized on Septemby KC Biennial, Final Postīefore I get into a few days of rug show reporting, I wanted to comment on various Biennial moments I enjoyed, as well as give you some very good info on the next big ATHA event. (I also note that the last three, being fall and winter designs, just make me feel a little cooler as I sit in this very hot dye kitchen.) So, to be eligible, comment in on the one you would like if you won the Giveaway on Thursday night. In fact, it would be the easiest thing I have done all day! That said, I do have 4 examples to show tonight as I think a Giveaway for one of them would be the simplest post I could possibly do … and it would make me very happy. Although I intend to take several of these to NY in my suitcase, they are the kind of projects that I’ll work on after I have shipped the big boxes later this week. And, some designs were created specifically for these weekend projects.

Since most of the motifs are small bits from other larger rugs, they can easily be used for making little throw pillows to go with those bigger rugs. (Confidentially, I often promo them to classes as the perfect project for that relative or acquaintance that you don’t like very much but still have to give a hooked rug at some time or another.) My locals came up with that name since they are so small and can easily be done in a couple of days.

Weekend projects are little 12” designs that I’ve been making for the past 2 or 3 years. Therefore I decided to do a little feature on something that is short and sweet – After all, I’ve probably dyed about 40 dump dyes and one wonders just how many posts one can do about dump dyes each day this week. While I go back and forth between pattern making and dyeing, it seems like a never ending repetitious cycle that is difficult to report on. While I’ll probably be working on things up to the night before I get on the plane, most of my work needs to be done by noon this Thursday so the bulk of my class and vending needs can get shipped out. The damaged order may also be return by the customer for a refund as well however the cost to ship the package back is the responsibility of the customer.I’ve been working 14-15 hour days ever since I got back from the Kansas City Biennial in order to get ready for my next road trip to Rochester, New York, late next week.

If a customer receives a damaged product and we offer to send a replacement product out but the customer prefers a refund, a claim would need to be filed with the shipping company and approved by them in order to receive a refund. Please note that packages deemed stolen by FedEx or USPS will not be approved for a refund. If the Post Office or FedEx deems your package as lost or damaged, we will work with you to have a replacement sent out. If they are not able to assist you further, please contact us immediately so we can file a claim. If a shipment is lost or shows as delivered but is not at your location, we always recommend contacting FedEx or your local post office first as well as leaving a note for your courier explaining what happened. While we are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged shipments, we do our best to assist our customers when a package has an issue in transit.
